Clean Kids

This is a pretty classic shot of everyone all clean, watching a show and wanting and waiting for popcorn. What a life!!

Titanic Lover

Luke has been obsessed with Titanic over the past year or so. He loves hearing stories and facts about the Titanic and has quite the knowledge about it from the boat itself to how it sunk. We have checked every Titanic book out at the library a number of times and he has his own book and color book collection too. Kind of  a scary topic for a 4 year old to be interested in but he seems to soak in all in.

Nature Preschool

Luke has been going to Nature Based Preschool this year.  We have enjoyed seeing him tackle all sorts of weather and come home telling us all sorts of interesting facts. He has been enjoying his Tuesday and Thursdays in all kinds of weather wind, sleet, snow and mud. Although, lately he does not want to get into his Muddy Buddy Suit in the morning. It can be a struggle. It keeps him warmer and drier and can be pretty bulky over snow suits.

He spends about half the time outside and the other half inside. Once a month the students get to go to Blandford Nature Center as part of their class time. I got to be the helper on the last trip and it was a perfect Spring Day. We looked and listened for signs of Spring and then got to spend time at the swamp collecting creatures from the water. I was thankful I could go and get outside with him!

Spring Break Trip to the Zoo

We finally had a nice enough day to get outside on Spring Break. The week was filled with a lot of cold, rainy and dark days. We have a zoo membership so just a quick walk today was nice. Not a whole lot of the animals out yet, but the sun was shinning.

Popsicle in February

Caleb and I went to Meijers once again while Luke was at preschool. Caleb likes to get his free cookie from the bakery and this time he saw popsicles in the freezer section. He held onto the box until we checked out. Purple one mama please?? Caleb insisted and threw a fit in the car. So in 15 degree weather he got his treat.  At least it did not melt!! Crazy kid!

Bird Watchers

Luke got a pair of kid binoculars for Christmas and Levi got a Michigan bird book. They enjoy looking outside and seeing what kind of animals and birds they can see. Caleb even gets into it saying he likes blue and red birds. They like seeing all the bunnies too.

Art Show at the Grand Rapids Art Museum

Levi's art work got chosen to be placed in the Grand Rapids Art Museum for the Art Educators Exhibition show. His art work got chosen by his art teacher and he had to name and describe his piece. He and nine other kids from school plus all the other students chosen from Region 9 got to have their art work matted and placed on display with a reception for family at the GRAM. What an honor! His teacher and art teacher came to see him and both sets of grandparents. After being in the museum for a few weeks, the piece will then move on to state level judging.
