Summer outings

Trip to John Ball Zoo

A daddy daughter date with Maci to the mall an early birthday present.

Maci rode the carousel two times, got her nails done, had a snack and did build a Bear with her Daddy.

I took Maci and Levi to the Flick Summer Movie Paddington Bear.  Levi was able to cash in his gift certificate to Barnes and Noble for an art competition that he placed  3rd in.  He picked a Lego set and a Monster Truck book.

Luke's ear tube check. They are still in after 2 years. Will see again if they are out in March., otherwise they need to be taken out.

Caleb 11 months old

Caleb is still growing but not moving...he bounces when excited and bounces his butt to move on the floor but nothing else.  I think that I am his mode of fastest transportation...he knows this too. New this month is that he is finally uttering mama..at times. He does a lot of pointing at things and loves to throw balls and toys around the room. He can sit for a good period of time and play by himself as long as the other kids are close by to fetch him toys or interact with him here and there. Caleb is such a joy to us!

Kindergarten Program

We celebrated Levi's last day of kindergarten with a program. He sang some great songs and we were very proud of all he has learned and grown this year at school.

Levi turns 7 and Luke turns 3

We celebrated Levi and Luke's birthday with a steak dinner on the deck with our family. It was a fun day of planning because it was also the last day of kindergarten for Levi. Maci has been such a helper in the kitchen and we had fun getting all the food ready for those boys. We also did a surprise on Levi after he got off the bus. We had filled up a bucket of water balloons and had our water guns ready and sprayed him when he got off. Luke loved this too and they both waited all afternoon in anticipation of this this. I do not think Levi believed that Mom and Maci could do such a thing, you should have seen his face! We also had a small party with both sets of grandparents with Luke's favorite food, pizza. The boys both got new bikes and lots of other presents. I tell them every night they are my special gifts from God.

Awards Ceremony

Grandpa Roedema and I attended the Elementary Awards last week. Levi got presented with two awards. One award for mileage club and another for art. We were very proud of him! He was the top runner of the kindergarten and only 4 miles short of being top runner for K-5th grade. He ran 66 miles this year! He literally ran his shoes apart! I told him he better start training me to run and we could run 5K this year. He also won an award for 3rd place in a state drawing competition. He had to draw his favorite book character, Curious George and tell why he is his favorite. He also got a Barnes and Noble gift card for this.

Preschool Graduation

Maci graduated from preschool! She sang some really pretty songs at her program and got a special hug and diploma from her teacher. They had a slide show at the end of the program and Maci started to cry saying, how she is going to miss school and all her friends. She had to watch the Dvd at home a couple of times to remember her year. She loved being in school!

Grandparents Day

What a fun day to have Grandma and Grandpa K come visit school. The Roedemas would have loved to come but they were in California. Levi had a nice program and a picnic with Grandma and Grandpa. Maci got to show them her class and play on the playground with them.
