Snowy Wagon Ride

We spent the first part of the Roedema Christmas at Post Family farm on a wagon ride. We had alot of fun doing something together as a family this year. It was cold but we kept warm as we could. We had donuts and hot chocolate waiting when we were done. We went to Kramer's afterward for food and presents. No pictures of that side of the craziness this year.

Four year olds trying to stay warm! Luke are you in there?

Snowy Superheros

We went to a Christmas play with a super hero theme at Orchard Hill church with the Koopmans cousins and the kids had fun pretending they were superheros and dog rescuers. They colored their masks for a long time. What better thing to do on a cold, snowy weekend?

Luke's Name

Here's Luke's Name Practice for today. We are working on it!
He sometimes writes with his left or his right hand. Here we got upside down and backwards.

Caleb is a big boy!

We shuffled all the kids rooms around and no more crib. We had Caleb and Luke now in bunk beds and Levi and Maci both having their own rooms. Ryan took the crib down and Caleb was more than happy to sleep with brother Luke. Luke loved taking on the responsibility of keeping watch over Caleb and making sure he was ok in the night. So far, so good. It was a little sad to take down the crib for me and Ryan too. An end to era for sure. I was only trying for one picture. I had to post these all because none of them are that good! Levi- 8 Maci- 6, Luke-4, Caleb-2.5 yrs.

First Snow and Snow Day

Start of Advent and Christmas count down.

This was the first snow day of the year chocolate milk with marsh mellows for this guy.
Warming up and having fun off from school, extra special since Dad was home too.

Luke always likes two straws.

We were able to spend some time making ginger bread house on the snow day too.
Ryan pulling kids on first snow day of the year.

Little stinker...one last year for this hand me down coat!
Levi and Luke wore it when they were this age.

Pull us Mom!
Luke is ready to help shovel the driveway after the first few inches of snow!

Mommy's Helper

Caleb spends a lot of time shopping and running errands with me. He loves to be independent and will strongly say "me do!" This morning he wanted to carry his own bag of cans to the can return at the store. Good thing I had an extra plastic bag to put a few cans in for him otherwise he would have been upset! He also loves to carry a truck or car with him whenever he is out and about.

Bob the Builder

Caleb loves "Bob". He loves to watch "Bob" in the mornings, and then he soon requests his glass of "orange" juice to go with his relaxing routine.

Christmas Tree

We got our Christmas tree super early this year November 19.  It has lasted so far, about a month with not so frequent watering. It was the first day the tree farm opened with just enough snow to start to think about Christmas and not Thanksgiving. I got cancelled from work so it was a good afternoon to go. It was a quick trip because it was so windy and cold. Luke got to place the star this year and Levi was excited and ready to cut the string from around the tree. The kids love looking at all the ornaments we have collected so far. Good thing our tree is big because we have a lot of handmade crafts to make sure fit!
