Luke loves history and took the opportunity to be a volunteer at Blandford Nature Center in their pioneer cabin with some other 3rd grade students. He was the only boy that signed up but was able to talk to the visitors that came about life a boy in the pioneer times. He helped start the fire for the wood stove and then helped make cookies for those that stopped by. He also got to spend a week for school at the Grand Rapids Public Museum for Immerse week. We spent one afternoon together as he showed me his favorite exhibits and tidbits of information that he learned during the week. He did have to miss two days of the museum week as all four kids and mom had a terrible stomach flu that lasted 2 days!
