Tulip Time 2013

This past May we picked a beautiful morning to check out the Tulips in Holland. We picked up Grandpa and Grandma Roedema and met Allison and the cousins in Holland.

 

 

We started off with some coffee and tulip cookies and looked at all the flowers, stopped at the candy shop where Levi found candy in the shape of Legos ,he was so excited and waited to eat some to show to daddy.Maci picked butterfly gummies. We watched Dutch dancers and the highlight for the kids was riding a couple carnival rides. Maci was so brave and went on both rides by herself while Levi and Katelyn rode together. We ended the morning with a picnic lunch it was a perfect day to get outside and enjoy the start of spring.

Garden 2013

The kids were are excited to get the garden growing! We had a stretch of warm weather and started planting  our seeds. We were digging and inspecting each of the seeds and compared how big, small and what color each one was. We got all the seeds in the ground and of course we had a few cold mornings and no sprouts.  They had fun just digging. So we are thinking of trying to plant some seeds again sometime soon...and see what grows besides weeds.

Luke 11 months

The biggest happenings the last month are that Luke can finally move on all fours. He most times choose the army crawl and he is fast.  The other day the safety gate was left open and Luke did a tumble down a flight of stairs. He loves to bounce, roll and kick his legs especially when trying to dress or change him. He sleeps well at night till about 7 Am. Levi and Maci like to climb in his crib and greet him in the morning...lots of laughs and screams in the morning from his room. He loves to go for walks and swing at the park. He is scheduled to get tubes placed next week. He babbles and the other day Grandpa R claimed he said ball, he does say Mama, Dada and many uth ohs...sometimes over and over.

Maci and the Mirror

The other morning I got such a kick out of Maci. I was in such a rush to get Levi to school and she is just enjoying getting ready, combing her hair, chap stick, washing her hand and face, brushing her teeth..with her princess toothbrush..It was precious to me and stressful and even though I really did not have time I took some pictures of her. She also was singing King of Kings and Lord of Lords...Hallelujah and that made me smile.

One on One Time With Levi

Most afternoons when Luke and Maci are napping I really try to spend some time with Levi by himself. We usually play a game and have a special snack or drink. Lately, he loves rootbeer.  After all the rain we had it finally got warmer and sunny. We spend some afternoons on the front stoop playing cards and laughing at silly jokes. He gets excited when the mail man comes and waves at him and he can get the mail. Then soon enough we wait and look for Daddy.  Levi is getting too big and I am really trying to treasure the time I have with him at home...at least most days...:)
