Luke 9 Months

Playing his drum while I try to organize the cupboards.

Snack Time..stop taking my picture.

Luke is such a big boy. He now seems like he is not a "baby" anymore. He eats most table food and love to chug his bottles the other night Ryan fed him 11 oz. He is sleeping through the night now that is ear infection is all cleared up from 8- 715 or so. He wants to move and not just sit anymore...but is still trying to figure that out. He rolls all over and gets frustrated that he can lift himself up. He scoots on his butt with his two feet together and gets pretty far. He loves to stand up and but does not pull up on anything yet. He babbles alot saying mama and dadda..babba. Luke is learning how to drink from a sippy cup and smiles so big when he gets a little sip of water. He likes watching the kids play cars and is started to get more interested in listening to books. He really can get laughing sometimes and it is contagious.

Cupcakes and Coloring

When Levi was at school the other morning Maci and I had to bring Luke to the doctor. We were a little early so I decided to stop at the bakery to have her pick out a treat. She loved looking at all treats. She picked out a cupcake for her and then one for Levi to have after he got home. They loved the frosting more than anything...who wouldn't. The cupcakes also had rings too. What is better than that. Maci and Levi also love to color and work on "school". We usually have some "coloring music" on as Levi calls it..either classical, piano, guitar...and they stay busy for a while. I love the concentration on some of these pictures.

Wedding Princess Maci

The other day I was moving some things around in the closets and pulled out my wedding dress. Maci loves dressing up and most days she puts on her clothes and then puts on some princess dress up clothes. She calls me either mama tinkerbell or mama princess most mornings. She also loves putting on her tinkerbell lotion, brushing her hair with only her princess brush and then spraying her hair with her "spray hair" and last part of her beauty routine is putting on both her princess lip gloss and her Dora chapstick..Do I look like a princess now..she asks..I so pretty today! She loves to twirl and pretend that she is a dancing princess it is so precious to watch. So I let her put on my  wedding dress and she thought it was so pretty. I of course got a little sentimental watching it all...and got some cute pictures.

Winter Fun 2013

Most every Saturday Ryan makes pancakes and sausage for breakfast or as Maci calls them hotdogs. We had a warmer Saturday and everyone including Luke and I went outside to play after breakfast. We went for a walk around the neighborhood and the kids love playing with the 3 wheeler with the sled. Levi and Daddy also went out side again later that afternoon and built a snowman. The picture of the three kids in the sled and Luke looking frozen in the stroller was from the day before when I was working Ryan took all the kids outside for some fresh air and to tire them out before bed.

Sometimes when Luke wears Levi's old clothes I have memories of four years ago with Levi.

almost too big for this tub! Happy boy!

watching Levi and dadda shovel the deck.

Luke has been such a good boy the past few weeks. I know that his teeth are bothering him and he keeps smiling and bouncing those legs. His mouth is really swollen and his right eye tooth just came through. He loves the cold teether and pain medicine helps him too. Luke weighs around 20 lbs now, he got his weight checked when he had his ear rechecked from an ear infection. No infection anymore but still healing up so we got a prescription for numbing ear drops which seem to help. He still takes baby food but is becoming less interested in getting fed and ready to fed himself. He eats some parts of our meal at supper. He loves puffs and crackers. He is still completely entertained by his brother and sister. Lately, he likes pushing toys with buttons that make sounds and rolling balls back and forth to him. He laughs when stuffed animals are in his face..He babbles and says dada. He is a cuddler and loves to get rocked at night.

Great Wolf Lodge

Coloring while daddy gets the car ready for home.

Howling at story time.

Getting ready for the story to start, making sure we are not too far away.

This past weekend we adventured up to Great Wolf Lodge with Levi and Maci. Luke got to spend some time with Grandpa and Grandma Roedema..probably a bit of a break for him too with some one on one time. We had a great time and the kids loved everything about the trip...except the drive. They had their movies and all their snacks. I made small treasure chests for them with all their goodies for the drive and that was a big hit...and of course stopping at Wendy's for lunch. Levi called our room a cabin and even that to them was a big deal. Checking out the beds, the fireplace and how the room keys worked was so fun for them. It was fun to see this experience through their eyes.We spent time at the waterpark the first afternoon we got there and then for a few hours the day we left. Levi was just big enough to go on the tube slides with dad. Maci liked watching the 'big bucket' dump water on the kids..over 1000 gallons at a time.  We all went on the lazy river and spent time in the smaller kids area. We played the magi quest game and had lunch in the hotel restaurant when we left. The night we were there after the pool we gave the kids baths and new pjs and headed down to the lobby for the story time. Levi loved howling like a wolf and doing 'paw fives'. They were so tired they fell right asleep. The resort was so big that there was alot of other things we would have like to have done with them..but no naps and short on time we will have to save that for another time. What a great way to spend some one on one time with each of the kids too.
