New Kitty coming soon...
We are getting a kitten hopefully soon. Maci has been waiting for a long time through most of this quarantine to get her special friend. She found an orange and white girl tabby cat that has a special pattern and 6 toes..very unique. The kids met her on Sunday and we will pick her up in a few weeks.
Levi turns 12 and Luke turns 8 2020
We had the Grandma and Grandpas over to celebrate the boys birthday. We tried to make is as normal as possible now but there is a new standard of asking people what they feel comfortable with in gatherings and eating together. We all feel comfortable being around people and it was nice to sit on the porch and enjoy the evening together. We have been swimming a lot at the Rundhaug's pool and its nice to get outside and feel the sunshine this week too. We also found out this week that they are cut 7 of our nursing staff due to budget and deficits from COVID. Metro overall cut 170 nursing staff it was a hard week. Ryan will be teaching at both the HS and middle school this fall and will also get a pay cut.

| Grandpa and Grandma Roedema made lots of donut drop offs for us in the last couple of months. They would order online and then pick them up for us. We would visit in the garage. |

Corona Virus
Mother's Day
We spent more time at home on a rainy, cold and dreary Mother's day. Ryan made me omlette for breakfast and recorded at cute video of the kids saying what they liked about me as their mom. We face timed Grandma Koopmans and had quick visit to Grandma Roedema. No hugging this Mother's Day. The Stay at home order has been extended to May 28. They are asking nurses to take voluntary leaves of absence since offices and surgeries have not been open since March.

Covid days
We spent a beautiful weekend outside and enjoying the sun and warmer weather. What a great way to recharge and somewhat forget what is going on in these crazy times. The kids spent hours playing in the field which is technically not our property. We had a lot rain and a stream and water kept them busy for hours. They played together and in the mud. It was nice to see them being so creative.
We went on a longer hike to Ottawa Sands Park. The kids were not super thrilled about this one. We did see a bald eagles nest. We all made it back to the car and in the end they were proud of how far they walked.

Rosco got to meet his new cousin Teddy.
