School Days

Lots of outdoor time spent at school at West Side Christian. I spend one or two days a week doing something at school. Its fun to see the kids there learning and playing.

Snowshoeing

We had a "winter break" from school although after all the days off we were really thinking the kids needed to be back in school. We had some sunny and "warmer" days so it felt good to get outside. With the really cold weather the kids really could not go outside because it was so cold and frigid. We went snowshoeing at Blandford and Grandma Roedema came too and we all tried something new. The kids did pretty well but did not last too long. It was nice though to feel the sunshine and be out of the house.

Polar Vortex 2019

We had record of snow and ice day this winter up to 12 days off. Most weeks this winter the kids and Ryan were planning on at least one day off. We had a lot of snow and over a few days ice and very cold weather. We lost power for over 24 hrs and had to stay at Grandma and Aunt Al's until power came back on . The first night we stayed warm by the fireplace and then next morning it started getting cold. We hung out at Aunt Mel's and the cousins played for the day too.

Ready to camp out for the night and try to stay warm. It got dark quick.

Snow Days

We had quite the historical stretch of snow days this past week 4 days off because of snow, blowing and very cold wind chills up to -25. We were home bound and spent a lot of time together. It is sure nice to have Ryan home to help break up fights and help keep the kids entertained. We spent time doing games, puzzles, cleaning, cooking, playing video games and crafts. We could not go outside because of the very cold temperatures!

Mother's Tea

Grandville had a mother daughter tea. We had all the girl cousins, aunt and Grandma come. It was a freezing cold day! We walked to different vendors in Grandville and got goodies at each stop. We also had tea and breakfast served to us too and a trolley ride. It was a fun morning.
