Working with Daddy

A couple of Saturdays ago, Levi and Maci helped Ryan replace the old wood from our garden. Hopefully soon we can start figuring out what to plant and see what we can make grow.

Sibling Love

A few weeks ago Levi told me before he went to bed that he wanted to do something nice for his only sister, Maci. He told me that he wanted to go to Meijers and buy her some flowers and a stuffed animal. He waited all week and on Saturday we went and he picked up a purple plant just for her and used his own money to buy this for her. Maci was so surprised and gave him a big hug. The still want to sleep together in the same bed, we had to limit that to just weekends. The other weekend, I went to check on them and they were whispering stories to each other and Levi was scratching Maci's back. I know this won't last forever so I am going to try to remember the bond they have right now.

we did not get out much this month..:)

 

 

 

Caleb spent most of his eighth month being sick or trying to get over being sick. He made a trip to urgent care and ER on one weekend this month and he had an ear infection, wheezing and would not eat or drink.I also brough him to Dr. Salhadar to have him check him out. I was so worried about him. He was really sick. He only had a small pee diaper in
 12 hours and keep throwing up. He got started on antibiotics, steriods, neubulizer treatments every four hours and tylenol to help with the pain and fever. It took him a good four days to start perking up. The following weekend he started throwing up in his bed on early Sunday morning and had diaherra and throw up for about 2 days. Poor Caleb! He could not catch a break this month. He has lost some weight. He has learned how to drink better out of his sippy cup..probably because we kept trying to give him juice or water out of it.

Great Wolf Lodge

We had a fun overnight at Great Wolf Lodge with Levi , Maci and Luke. The excitement leading up to this time was crazy. It was all the kids talked about, they were counting day the days, watching clips on You Tube about it, and planning in their head each moment. They were so excited to go! The car ride had to be broken up because they could not contain themselves. We dropped Caleb off and Grandma Roedema's early on Sunday and we were off. We got to Cadillac and we stopped for  a breakfast break and then they watched a movie in the car and calmed down a bit. We had a a lot of fun, playing in the water park, eating junk food, watching TV, doing crafts and laughing together. It was a short but fun trip that broke up this long winter!

We asked Luke what his favorite part of the trip was and he said playing in this house and with the trucks and logs they had in this play area.

Could not rush him along, had to finish his project!

Caleb 7 months old

Caleb can sit up now! He sometimes is pretty bent over but he can do it! He is "playing" more with his toys and loves to bang and shake things when he is sitting in his high chair. Caleb loves to be held and would sit on your lap all night. He is beginning to favor his taggie blankies that Grandma Roedema gave him. He likes to rub and hold these blankies while he is taking his bottle. His bottom two teeth are all the way through too. He is getting too big and can't believe how fast this time has gone already.
