A Princess and her Princes

The kids love playing dress up and most mornings they all play pretty good together. This day  they
made a show for me and were playing castle and prince and princess. They looked so precious. A cute moment in time!

After I got my nails done for Mother's Day so Maci wanted hers done too.  One day after Levi went to school and Luke was asleep for his nap I set up a spa for Maci.  She was beaming and she said thank you over and over. I washed her feet with special soap, put lotion on her feet and painted her nails. She felt special! Then of course, she wanted to sit at the kitchen table and do sticker crafts and color. What a life!  All in the afternoon of a three year old.

T Ball Season 2014

Levi has been playing and practicing t ball since April.  He and his friend across the street are on the same team. The practices were cold at first! The games have been on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6 pm and those nights are super busy with eating, going to the game and everyone coming home tired.  Maci and Luke have fun going to the concession  stand and running around. They don't really sit still and have a hard time watching the game:) Levi has already told us that he will not be playing t ball next year. He does not like hitting the ball off the tee. He has been coxed and persuaded  and will not do it. Ryan is his side kick at every game, helping coach at different bases and helping him with different positions on the field. We have told him all we want you to do is have fun! Last week, he actually looked like he was enjoying himself and smiling. He likes fielding the ball and gets to the ball fast and throws. He says that he wants to try soccer next. He was so proud when he got his trophy at the last game. He only went up to the plate once this season but was still proud of what he learned and how to be part of the team.

Good thing I got a picture..Only once to bat:)

\Always a supporter of her big brother!

Butterfly Ballet

This past March we took Maci and Alexa to the butterfly ballet at Meijer gardens. They dressed in their tutus and were so excited! We had breakfast at grandma Roedema 's house before which is always good. They were in awe to meet the dancers afterward and get their picture taken with real ballerinas!

Sibling Love

With the new baby coming in July we have been doing a lot of rearranging of clothes and rooms. We got a nice girly room together for Maci with Ryan and I's old queen bedroom set. Levi and Maci have been sharing a room with bunk beds for a couple of years now. So this change has  been harder on Levi than Maci at night. The first night Maci wanted her new room to herself. But Levi wanted to stay by his sister. He says the reason why is that the sheets are more comfortable then his...hum..so I went and bought him the same ones for his bed. Not sure if that is really it.  Most nights they do end up together in the same bed even when we do not put them there. They stay in bed and sleep all night so I guess for now that is okay. :)

Easter 2014

What a beautiful Easter weekend. It was sunny and warm. We had  time to celebrate with both families and go to church on Sunday.

Picnic at the Park

Over Spring Break we had a nice day where we went and had a picnic at Millennium
Park and played for a few hours. It was a sunny day and so nice to be outside after this long winter. Levi and Ryan started practicing for tee ball that is starting this spring too. Luke loved running and going "up" on the swings. Maci was very brave as she said over and over because she went on the "highest twisty slide ever"! It was a fun afternoon!
