Maci's Outfits...

Lately, Maci has been wanting to dress herself and wants no help. She does a great job! Here is an outfit from the other day she was so proud when she came up the stairs.

Roedema Christmas 2013

We had a great time celebrating with the Roedema side for Christmas..did not get too many pictures.
Maci was so excited to open her present..Sally, her cat. It meows and purrs and tries to walk and she takes very good care of her. She also got books and her favorite Hello Kitty things, purse and sweatshirt. Levi got a new aquarium which we he "loves" and a 805 piece Lego set that is all put together thanks to Ryan and Levi's hard work. Luke got some new books and some puzzles that he tries really hard to put together and of course two new trucks.

Snow Fun!

When Levi has to get on the bus for school..depending on the weather we all bundle up and go outside and wait and play. Luke loves watching for the "us" and Maci waves goodbye to her "best friend". In the afternoon, it seems two or three times a week Ryan will come home from work and as soon as he gets home and take the kids outside on the 3 wheeler for sled rides around the house. We have become quite popular in the neighborhood and the kids are good at sharing their turns. Luke gets so upset and just cries when either he has to come inside or he stays inside with me. It sure is a good way for them to burn energy, spend time with dad and eat all their supper and go to bed all tired out from the fresh air.

Christmas Tree 2013

Levi had been talking about getting the Christmas tree picked out and decorated ever since the beginning of November. Since we were all home we decided to go on my birthday as a family. It was a cold but sunny afternoon and the kids were so excited! They found the tree that they wanted and Dad cut it down.  Afterward, we went out for hamburgers at Burger King, and Maci was so excited to get a crown. You couldn't  have asked for more contented kids to come home and decorate the tree. They loved it! It is fun to see how much joy such a simple thing brings.

 

 

 

 

Nature Walk and Leaves

Last week Sunday we took a walk at Aman Park with the kids. They were so excited to go on a trail and explore. It was a great family time to be outside and see the fall colors. The kids were so tired afterward and it felt good to get some fresh air. Levi like helping us follow the trail markers to see which way we had to head next. The other morning we needed to get outside to play so we raked some leaves in the backyard. Levi and Maci had fun just jumping in the small pile that we made. What joy to throw the leaves and laugh. They had a great time doing this! Luke is constantly wandering and loves to climb the stairs to the deck and scream down to us..Mama!

Halloween 2013

We carved pumpkins and Ryan made a kitty for Maci and got the drill out and helped make some cool holes and designs on Levi's pumpkin. We had a fun Halloween night. The kids were so excited to dress up and get their candy. It was a rainy but warm night and Ryan took Levi and Maci around the neighborhood while Luke and I passed out candy. Levi and Maci loved dumping their buckets out when back at home to see what they all got. It is fun to to see all the kids come to the door. Levi like passing out candy this year and was not so afraid to do it. A lot of  older kids come to the door and see "Mr. Koopmans" and Ryan always has fun with that.

Fall Fun 2013

We have already been to the Country Basket two times this year because it is such a fun place and the donuts are so good! Last Saturday we went to breakfast as a family and got our pumpkins. The weather this fall has been perfect for being outside.
