Maci End of 8 th Grade 2025

Maci had a very unexpected end to her 8 th grade school year. She ended up being hospitalized for very heavy bleeding with her first period. She called me from school saying she was bleeding heavy in the bathroom at school. I picked her up and ended up taking her to ER. She had an ultrasound and some blood work and we were told to monitor. Overnight her bleeding continued and she texted me at work. We ended up having another ER wait at Metro. Here they did more blood work, started an IV, gave meds to stop bleeding and also an iron infusion. We ended up getting admitted to the hospital and stayed for three nights while they watched her bleeding and blood levels. She ended up getting TXA again and also another iron infusion. Her blood counts got so slow 6.8 that they gave her 2 units of blood. She was not able to go on her end of 8 th grade trip to Mackinaw City.  She was able to attend her awards ceremony and also her graduation ceremony and say her speech for distinguished graduate! We were thankful for the many prayers and support that were said on her behalf.

End of School Chapel

We had the end of school chapel and blessings and prayers were said for the 8 th grade students. The 8 th graders and their buddies were able to say their goodbyes. Maci was also awarded the Distinguished Graduate Award of the class of 2025. She was presented the award at the chapel and the whole school clapped and screamed. We were proud of her and many stated how deserving of the award she was.

Spring Sports

Maci participated in soccer and also track- long jump. Although soccer is not one of her favorite sports she was still able to have fun with her friends on the team. Luke started out track with a few unknowns on how it was all going to go but was able to do really well in long jump, 400m and 800m. Levi also did track for CCHS and participated at most track meets in the long jump,  and mostly the 200 m. Caleb was able to play on a flag football team on Sunday afternoons with some friends from school.

We were able celebrate our 20 year Anniversary at Middle School Track Meet
