COVID 19

 3/25/20:
We have been ordered by the Governor to stay home and not go out unless essential- food, bank, gas or medical reasons. Business have been shut down and kids and Ryan have been home from school for over a week. We have not had church for 2 weeks and all gatherings over 10 people are restricted. We need to stay at least 6 feet away from people a term now called, social distancing.Lots of hand washing to decrease the spread of what the Pres. Trump has been calling the invisible enemy. They have schools closed for another 2 and half weeks at least. We have been given lots of instruction and on line learning to try to keep the kids up to doing school work. They miss their routine but we are thankful for technology that lets us see and communicate with our teachers and families. We have done this over you tube, Facebook, zoom and Facetime. The weather is getting warmer so it is nice to get outside and get some fresh air. I did make a school schedule for home and we have been following that pretty closely. Spring break plans are cancelled, spring sports? who knows. A lot of unknowns at this time. We have been praying and keeping faith that God is in control.

Ryan and Levi took Levi's new dirt bike on a trail up North for a day.

Our kitchen table has turned in a school zone.

Maci hard at work with her hot chocolate.

Learning some life skills..

Had crazy hair day at home and used the bread maker to make homemade cinnamon rolls.

Lots of time outside. Had a fire one night and smores.

Magatiles on the garage.

Rosco got out into the field and got muddy. Kids gave him a bath.

Sunny day science experiment kit outside. Slime!

Got the trailer home and replaced the floor.

3/30/20- The President just issued the social distancing till April 30. We were planning on going to Spring Break this week to Ohio to see the zoo and then Hocking Hills. This is another disappointing cancellation.
Lots of board games. Playing nicely together!

Levi wanted to make a Pumpkin Pie. We even made the crust from scratch. It was delicious.

Work wear these days. Eye protection and masks. Some hospitals around the nation with a shortage of masks. Many people sewing masks.
There is talk that school will be closed the rest of the year.
We made prayer boxes as a family. Here is one of Luke's prayers.

Today we Zoomed with Grandma Roedema to make a chocolate cake. I went to Meijers and got our and Mom and Dad Roedema's groceries. The stores have limits on some food items, need to keep 6 feet from each other and different store hours for cleaning sanitizing.

We also tried out our new outdoor griddle.
