Maci Jean Is Three Years Old 8/25/2013

We had a lot of fun celebrating little princess's birthday. Maci was so excited for her birthday she was singing  Happy Birthday to Me for the week ahead of time. She kept asking how many more days till her party. Maci had two parties. We had cake and ice cream and snacks with the Roedema side and spent the afternoon up at Half Moon Lake with the Koopmans family. Maci is such a sweet heart and we love her so much. She loves dolls and taking care of her brothers. She is so friendly in the morning it is hard to start the day with out a smile. She will wake up and say...it is a sunny, beautiful day Mommy. Good Morning to You!" She has a great sense of humor and likes to make people laugh. The other night at supper she had  a fork in her nose and was laughing so hard ..because it was the biggest booger ever. Not the politest thing but we all did laugh. Maci is her daddy's girl and will get her hair done by Daddy and her toes and fingernails painted too...special treatment for Maci Jean. She loves pink and anything princess along with all her lotions and "ripsticks"(lipsticks). She also love being outside and playing with her Bud..Levi. Levi and Maci play so well together and really look out for each other..at least most days. They have a special bond as brother and sister.

Maci loves horses and ponies. I think her expression tells how much she enjoyed this gift. She feds this horse every morning.

Singing her Birthday Song. So happy.

New outfit from Grandpa and Grandma Roedema. She called it her Rock Star suit.  She wouldn't take it off so slept in it that night. Mac also had to have her babies in the picture.

Library Visit With Grandma

Now that Grandma Roedema is retired we get to see her more than when she was working. A couple of weeks ago we took an afternoon and went on an outing to the East Grand Rapids Library...for a change of pace. We had a picnic by Reeds Lake and then let the kids play for awhile in the downstairs children's library. They had a lot of different activity stations. They had a big aquarium that Luke wasn't to fond of. Maci and Levi had a lot of fun and had to bring home books from the different library.

Summer Time Play Time

Most of the time in the summer, if we are home we do pretty much the same things. We play outside, water the garden or plants, take a walk to the park in the neighborhood and ride the jeep. Levi and Maci have been playing really well together most days. They like playing house, doctor and camping outside. Levi loves riding his bike and playing with the neighborhood kids. He is coming out of his shell more talking to his "friends" and standing up for him self. The other day he was so proud when he talked to the icecream truck lady and ordered himself. He was beaming. Maci loves to play dress up and has quite the imagination. The other day she was playing with her new doll and named her " Word Up". Maci is potty trained and wearing big girl underwear now! She is still working on going poop on the toliet but I think that is going to be awhile. Luke loves being outside and cries when I bring him in. He says, go go and wants to ride anything with wheels especially the jeep. He loves walks and looking for doggies and going on the swings. He cries when the dogs pass because he wants to see them up close. He make a really good doggie noise and loves petting them.

Mini Golf- August 2013

Levi has been asking to try mini golf. He went with Grandpa and Grandma Roedema for his first time and want to go again. We all went on a Saturday morning..Levi was ready to play but was not as excited since the coarse didn't have waterfalls like before. Maci wanted to have a pink ball. Lets just say good thing it was cheap and no one else was there because Levi and Maci need some practice. Levi could actually hit the ball and made some good shots. He even scored a free game on the last hole. Maci decided at one hole she was going to try to throw her ball into the hole and it went over the fence almost on to Alpine. Then Ryan had to go get it. Luke just watched and was a good boy. It was an entertaining morning and we laughed a lot.
