Easter Eggs

This morning Levi and I decorated eggs for Easter. Boy, did this keep him occupied for awhile. When he first saw the eggs he tried to break them but then realized that he had to be "gentle" with them and that they really could not break anyway. We mixed the colors in clear glasses so he could see the color tablet disappear and the color appear...we are working on colors. He said "oh pretty" when the colors came. He also liked adding the vinegar to the mixture which fizzed. We then put all the colors in separate bowls and he mixed his eggs with all the different colors. After drying he put his final touch on the eggs by adding stickers. It was fun to watch him enjoy such a simple project. Hopefully, in the future we can emphasize the real purpose of Easter. However, Ryan and I were impressed that this week Levi prayed his first prayer. We were getting ready for dinner, setting the table, putting food on the plates when Levi said, Pray Mama! So ok, we stopped what we were doing and said to Levi that he could pray...this is what was said...Jesus...trucks...boats...choo choos...owls...Amen! What a prayer of thanks. So lately though, he only prays when he wants..not usually when asked.

Frog Hollow

Today Levi, Katelyn, Allison and I went to the Frog Hollow park. It is located right behind Metro Health Hospital. We had fun in the warm sunshine. There were so many kids there. We will have to go back to the park again and take a lunch with us so that we can stay longer and play. What a great way to spend the first sunny, warm day of the spring.
